Biography
CHENG Yongxian, Professor of phytochemistry. Major research interests are to unveil the therapeutic basis of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) using oriented screening strategy guided by TCM theory, and to understand WHAT substances are responsible for the function and therapeutic indications of TCM and HOW they work alone or together. The favorite direction is chronic renal diseases including diabetic nephropathy and organ fibrosis, brain-related disorders including anxiety, learning and memory
