Biography
GONG Xun, Professor of botany. Major research interests include 1) conservation genetics of rare and endangered plants in China, such as Cycad species native to Yunnan, Paeonia delavayi, Nouelia insignis, Psammosilene tunicoides, Citrus hongheensis and so on; 2) phylogenetics or speciation of the plants endemic to some regions in China, with emphasis on Chinese Apiaceae, Ligularia, Dobinea, Lamiophlomis and their allied genera; 3) the breeding and domestication of the varieties of Magnoliaceae plants.
