Biography
Professor HU JinyongJin-Yong Hu received his PhD in 2003 from the Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He worked as a Max-Planck postdoc fellow from 2003 to 2006 in the lab of Prof. Heinz Saedler, and from 2006 to 2010 in the lab of Profs. Juliette de Meaux and Maarten Koornneef at the Max-Planck-Institute for Plant Breeding Research (MPIPZ), at Koeln, Germany. Since 2010 he was a full-time employee at the MPIPZ until 2014. Under the support by “Hundred-Talent Program” of CAS, in 2014 he becomes a professor of KIB, and leads the group of Plant Molecular Genetics and Adaptation in the Key Laboratory for Plant Diversity and Biogeography of East Asia of CAS. He has authored about 20 papers, including those in The Plant Cell, Molecular Biology and Evolution, PNAS, Nature Communications.
