Biography
XU Jianchu, Professor of ethnoecology. Major research interests are the ethnoecology and human dimensions of global environmental change, including community-based conservation, land use/cover change, climate change impacts, and forest transitions and their implications for environmental service provision in mountain regions. His team's research focus mainly on Observations of coupled human-environmental systems, Impacts and cascading effects of climate change on alpine rangeland, Consequences of global change for transboundary rivers, Hydrological response to global change, Societal and policy responses to global change.
