Sept. 1965, Graduated from Dept. of Physics, Nanjing University, Nanjing, China. 1965--- 1980, Worked in Beijing Institute of Environmental Researches. 1980--- 1984, Graduate student in Dept. of Physics, University of California at Santa Barbara, U. S. A. for pursuing Ph.D. degree. 1984 --- 1985, Postdoctor in the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. 1986 --- 1988, Visiting Scientist in ICTP, Trieste, Italy. 1988--- Present, Associate Professor, and Professor in Dept. of Physics, Nanjing University, Nanjing, China.
Research Interest
1) Electronic, magnetic, transport, optical and vibrational properties of the carbon-based nanomaterials, such as carbon nanotubes, graphenes and other carbon composites. 2) Geometrical structure and the physical properties of the coinage metal clusters, wires and nanotubes. 3) Electronic and optical of multiferroic materials.
