Biography
Born 1964; B.S. (1986), East China Normal University; Ph.D. (1993), Osaka University, Japan; Postdoctoral Fellow (1993-1995), Shionogi Research Institute, Osaka Japan; Professor (1996 – present), School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Coordination Chemistry Institute and State Key Laboratory of Coordination Chemistry, Nanjing University.
Research Interest
Coordination chemistry and supramolecular chemistry: design and synthesis of supramolecular architectures with specific properties such as selective guest inclusion and ion exchange, and with specific topologies such as cage and tube. Bioinorganic chemistry: design and synthesis novel organic ligands and their metal complexes. Investigate their structures and catalytic activities, which will provide information about the relationship between structure and catalytic activities, and reaction mechanism for the related metalloenzymes.
