Biography
CHENG Lihong, a professor at School of Journalism and Communication, Liaoning University, possesses the degree of Ph.D. History. She is the supervisor in School of Journalism and Communication of Liaoning University. She also takes many roles such as committee member of The Teaching Guiding Committee for College Journalism and Communication Majors under the Ministry of Education, executive director of The Chinese Association for History of Journalism and Mass Communication, executive director of The Research Committee for History of Chinese Journalism and Mass Communication in Taiwan and Southeast Asia and The Research Committee for History of Journalism Education under the Chinese Association for History of Journalism and Mass Communication, and the collaborative research fellow of Cheng She-Wo Institute for Chinese Journalism in Shih Hsin University. 2012, she won the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University under the Ministry of Education. 2013, she was named to be the "Leading professor” of journalism and communication in Jilin Province.
Research Interest
The research interests include the history of Chinese journalism and mass communication, especially the media culture and the history of journalism and mass communication in Qing Dynasty and modern period of China
