Biography
Dr. XU Yang, professor in Liaoning University Law School, engaged in the basic theory research of criminal procedure law for many years, published articles as The Retrial on Account of Public Opinion: the Dilemma and Way out of Judicial Decision Making, The Failure of the Mechanism of Innocent in the Criminal Proceedings and the Countermeasures, The Normative Significance of Procedures Legal Principles to Criminal Justice, etc. To resolve the risk of public opinion in criminal cases, she proposes to strengthen the communication mechanism between judiciary and society, and improve the credibility of judiciary. In allusion to the prevention of unjust cases, she proposes to expand the innocent export at the institutional level, improve the recognition ability for “highly suspected unjust cases”in program discretion, and block the operation of the unjust case in the program timely. In the research of methodology, the research method in law dogmatic which is the connected application of theories, rules and cases is her advocacy in the criminal procedure law.
