Research Interest

Lai has held progressively increasing business unit head responsibilities at Sanofi since July of 2011, across 3 diverse businesses: medical devices, specialty pharma (oncology and hematology/transplantation) and now in general medicines (diabetes), working across distinct business lifecycles (start-up, growth phase, mature). Dr. Lai started at Sanofi in 2010 as Head of Strategic Planning for Asia, responsible for key strategic projects in China (industry leading strategy to set up a dedicated BU in the county market) and Southeast Asia (Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam)
