Biography
Mr. James S. Lau is the President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Medical Care Technologies Inc. James is an experienced information technology services business executive for over 30 years. He established an excellent track record for innovation, for consistent delivery of global projects, and meeting business commitments. He has management experiences in software development, global marketing, solution and services delivery, quality assurance, product management, business development, business partner management and professional services. During the late 1990's to early 2000's, he led IBM in the delivery of e-business services worldwide. He established a large and profitable e-business service delivery center with over 300 technologists and specialists in Vancouver, Canada. Under his leadership, the delivery center delivered solutions and services to IBM customers around the world including North America, Western Europe, the Middle East, China and Hong Kong. He pioneered a remote solution delivery methodology for the profitable delivery of information technology services. Since then, he has been providing business and technology management consulting services to a number of small and medium businesses in Canada, USA and China. He specialized in business transformation and strategy development to help organizations grow and leverage new opportunities with special focus in expansion to China and Hong Kong. He also delivered management and e-business seminars to business professionals in China and Canada. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors in a number of government and business organizations across Canada. He has a Master’s Degree in Communications Engineering from the University of Manchester, England and MBA from Marist College in the State of New York, USA. He also holds 2 pending worldwide patents in e-business technologies.
