Biography
C. Steven McMillan, 71, is a retired chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Sara Lee Corporation, a global consumer packaged goods company whose brands, during his tenure, included Sara Lee, Hillshire Farm, Earth Grains, Jimmy Dean, Douwe Egberts, Coach, Hanes, Playtex and Champion. He has served as a director on the Monsanto board since June 2000. Mr. McMillan chairs the board’s People and Compensation Committee, and he is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee, Executive Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. McMillan has been elected to a term that expires in 2018.
