Robert J. Stevens

Biography

 Robert J. Stevens, 65, is a retired chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation, a firm engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture and integration of advanced-technology systems, products and services. Prior to his retirement, he served as the corporation’s Chairman from April 2005 to January 2013 and as its Chief Executive Officer from August 2004 through December 2012. He served as Executive Chairman of the Board from January 2013 until January 2014. Previously, he held a variety of increasingly responsible executive positions with the Corporation, including President and Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and head of Strategic Planning. In January 2012, he was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. Mr. Stevens has served as a director on the Monsanto board since August 2002. He chairs the board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and he is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee and the Executive Committee and he serves as Monsanto’s lead director. Mr. Stevens also serves on the board of United States Steel Corporation.
