Shen Hong, Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. September 2000 - June 2004, Bachelor enrolled in Nanjing Normal University, Jiangsu Province, biological education. September 2004 - June 2007 Master studied at the Institute of Animal Genetic Resources, Nanjing Normal University, Jiangsu Province. Master's mentor for Professor Zhou Kaiya, master's program for the less common (arthropods: Daphnia) phylogeny. April 2008-April 2012, PhD studied at the Institut for Biologie / Vergleichende Zoologie der Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
