Biography

Song Xiaoling, Ph.D., Professor, doctoral supervisor, Secretary-General of Jiangsu Weed Society. January 15, 1969 was born. In 1994 graduated from Nanjing Agricultural University plant protection professional, and received a master's degree. After graduation has been engaged in the biological ecology of farmland weeds and control work. In 2002 transferred to Nanjing Agricultural University Weed Research Office Weed science teaching and research work. The main research areas are the safety assessment of transgenic crops and the biological ecology of farmland weeds and their control. In 2003 graduated from the Nanjing Agricultural University College of life sciences, received doctorate degree. PhD thesis Title: Safety Assessment of Gene Drift in Herbicide-Resistant Transgenic Crops Using Plant Affinity. Since 2000, he has been engaged in environmental safety assessment of genetically modified crops for a long time. Based on the relationship between temporal sequence, spatial relationship sequence and population quantity, weed-related weeds associated with herbicide-tolerant crops, distantly related and closely related relatives were selected as research objects. Conditions, especially the first condition of affinity as the starting point, using reproductive biology methods combined with artificial hybridization and field mixed planting test results to explore the resistance to herbicide-resistant transgenic plants to different kinship related species, especially for early Detection methods and techniques of incompatible relative species drift. The risk assessment of resistance gene drift was carried out using herbicide-resistant Oryza sativa and Brassica napus with their relatives. The rapid detection technology and method are provided for the safety evaluation of resistance gene drift of the herbicide-resistant transgenic crops.
