Biography

Wang Yuanchao, male, Han nationality, born in November 1968, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor (2011), National Outstanding Youth Fund Winner (2012). July 1991 graduated from Laiyang Agricultural College Department of Agronomy received a bachelor's degree in July 1996 graduated from Nanjing Agricultural University Department of Plant Protection received a doctorate, from October 1996 to March 1999 in Zhejiang University Institute of Biotechnology postdoctoral research, Since April 1999, he has been working in Nanjing Agricultural University so far. In South Korea, the United States, Canada and the Netherlands and other laboratories for collaborative research. He is now a professor and doctoral tutor at Nanjing Agricultural University, head of the national key disciplines of plant pathology, and director of the National Soybean Industry Technology Pest Management Research Laboratory. Chinese fungi society director, "Plant Pathology" and other 6 kinds of important academic journals editorial board. He has long been engaged in the research on the pathogenesis of Oomycetes disease and the application of plant disease control. The rapid detection and diagnosis of quarantine pathogens, the molecular regulation of Phytophthora mold development, the molecular mechanism of Phytophthora and plant interaction were carried out System research. He has successively presided over more than 30 research projects of national nonprofit industry, 863 national projects, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 973 national sub-projects and 948 projects. The main academic contributions: (1) Explain the mechanism of variation in toxicity of Phytophthora sojae, cloning two new avirulent genes Avr1d and Avr3b of Phytophthora sojae; Explain the main non-toxic gene in Chinese soybean Phytophthora group through point mutation, transposon Insertion and differential transcription. It is proved that the toxic proteins of Phytophthora can cooperate with each other to interfere with the innate immunity of the plants to pathogens. The effect of Avr3b, an effector molecule of Phytophthora infestans, that mimics the plant defense response inhibitor, Disease resistance. The above results have important theoretical and practical values for improving plant disease resistance. (2) Clarified the molecular mechanism of Phytophthora sojae on host recognition, and found that Phytophthora sojae could identify host plant by detecting the secretion of isoflavones from soybean root system through the regulation of G-protein coupled receptor and G protein signaling system; G protein coupling The receptor is involved in the regulation of Phytophthora infestations of mating sex hormones to control the sexual reproduction of Phytophthora. This study provides an important theoretical basis for screening new agents for controlling diseases. (3) Explained the molecular mechanism of plant non-host resistance to Phytophthora capsici, identified a number of new Phytophthora spp. Secreting toxic proteins, clarified that MPAK and other cellular signaling systems are resistant to Phytophthora capsici in non-host plants effect. (4) A batch of molecular targets that can be used for the molecular monitoring of quarantine harmful plant pathogens have been discovered. On this basis, more than ten kinds of rapid detection technologies for pathogens have been developed, forming a number of national and industrial standards and have been widely popularized and applied. Has won the Ministry of Education Natural Science Award and three scientific and technological progress awards, published in domestic and foreign publications research papers more than 120 articles, including Science, Nature genetics, Plant Cell (cover article), PLoS Pathogens, New Phytologist, Molecular Microbiology, MPMI and other SCI journals on more than 70 papers, of which the first author or contact author 36 articles, the total impact factor of more than 120,400 papers selected ESI high cited papers, papers cited nearly SCI journals 700, at major international conferences More than 10 invited reports, participate in organizing international academic seminars 6 times. Obtained 6 national invention patents, edited textbooks or books 3. Has been selected for the Ministry of Education of the new century talents, Nanjing Agricultural University "133 Talents Project" academic leaders, Nanjing Agricultural University outstanding graduate tutor and outstanding teachers, "Qinglan Engineering" academic backbone in Jiangsu Province, outstanding scientists, Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu Province University outstanding scientific and technological innovation team leader.
