Biography
GE Xin was born on January 30, 1962, in Nantong, China. In 1983 he received his B.A. degree from the Department of Chemistry, Nanjing University. In 2002 he received his Ph.D. in the same university. He became full professor at Nanjing University in 2003. After one year as a postdoc he worked with Prof. A. Aline in the Institut de Recherches sur la Catalyse, Centre National de la Recherche Scitifique, Villeurbanne, France. His teaching responsibilities include “Physical Chemistry”, “Basic Physical Chemistry Experiment”, “College Chemistry” and “Principles of Chemistry”. His research is concentrated in three areas: (1) Catalytic natural gas and light alkanes conversion and use; (2) Selective catalytic oxidation of aroma compounds; (3) Microcalorimetric adsorption of oxide catalysts.solutions, and on solid surfaces.
