Biography
"Xuefeng Guo was born in 1973, Henan Province. He received his B.E. degree in Biochemical Engineering from Zhejiang University in 1995, and Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from Nanjing University in 2000. After several-year postdoctoral research in Department of Chemistry, Hong Kong Baptist University (2001~2002), and UMR 5253 CNRS, University of Montpellier II, France (2002~2003), he joined the faculty at Nanjing University at the end of 2003, where he became a full professor of Chemistry in 2010. As a visiting scientist, he visited the Department of Chemical Engineering & Material Science, University of Minnesota(Twin Cities) in USA for one year and two months(2009~2010). Guo’s research interests fall at the interface of Materials Science and Catalytic Chemistry, focusing on novel low-dimensional nanomaterials and their applications in Green Catalysis and Environment & Energy-related fields. Research comprise the synthesis, characterization, formation mechanism and application of various nanostructured materials, such as inorganic nanotubes/nanowires (noncrystalline alloy, metal oxides, metal phosphates and so on.), and graphene-based materials. To date, he has co-authored over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 3 patents."
