Biography
"Jianyi Shen was graduated from the Department of Chemistry of a Normal College in 1979. From 1984 to 1990, he studied catalysis as a graduate student in the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and was awarded a PhD degree. Since the spring of 1990, he has been working in the Division of Physical Chemistry in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University. He became a full professor in 1995. He has the working experiences in the Dept. Chem. Eng., UW-Madison, USA, the Lab of Tech. Chem., Ruhr Univ., Germany and the Institute of Research for Catalysis, CNRS, France. He studied the chemical preparation and characterizations of nano amorphous alloys, the surface acidity and basicity of metal oxides and computer modeling of catalytic mechanisms and microkinetics."
