Biography
Scott joined NREL in 2015. His work focuses on rapidly prototyping and demonstrating data-driven technological solutions that yield new scientific advances related to our energy systems across scales. Particular research interests include understanding how connected and personalized embedded devices can be leveraged to enhance energy efficiencies in commercial and residential buildings. His previous research has focused on multi-dimensional optimizations of models for bio-molecular simulations, the origins of chiral symmetry breaking in condensed matter systems, and the entropic driving forces inherent in protein and peptide self-assembly.
