Biography
Hakan Balci is an Associate Director in the Navigant’s Energy Practice. Dr. Balci has been engaged in projects on energy market analysis, power asset valuation, resource planning and power system studies. He has 15 years of experience on electricity price forecasting and power system modeling in North America. Hakan’s experience on energy market analysis includes congestion forecasting, transmission, supply-side, and demand-side resource valuation in PJM, MISO, ISO-NE, NYISO, CAISO and SERC. He also prepared analysis for onshore and offshore wind, and distributed and utility solar both in merchant and in regulated environments. In addition, he constructed a model to calculate the Loss of Load Expectation in PJM South.
