Biography
CAI Kun: male, was born in Suqian, Jiangsu Province, China, in Aug, 1978. He is an associate professor and a doctoral student supervisor in the College of Water Resources and Architectural Engineering. He graduated from Department of Mechanics, Lanzhou University and gained B.Sc. in Solid Mechanics in 1999. In July, 2008, he obtained a Ph.D in Engineering Mechanics from Dalian University of Technology. From July 2012 to July 2013, he worked at School of Engineering, the Australian National University, Australia, as a visiting fellow. Dr. CAI has several professional affiliations such as an Individual Member of International Society of Bionic Engineering, Member of the Youth Committee of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, Member of the Council of Shaanxi Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. He got an honor of Shaanxi Youth Science and Technology Star in 2010.

Nanodevice design, Topology optimization of continuums, Optimization of hydraulic structures , Mechanics of Lightweighted composites, Experimental mechanics of solids.
