Personal and Affiliated Appointments : Dr Jia Zhikuan, male, born in January 1962, a native of Shuozhou city, Shanxi province, Professor of Crop Production and Farming System, Supervisor of PhD students; Director of Arid and Semiarid Agricultural Research Center, Northwest A&F University, as well as Director of the Key Lab on Dryland Farming and ecology, Ministry of Agriculture, Chief Editor of the journal: Agricultural research in the Arid Areas. Education Qualifications: Sept. 1978- July 1982: Degree of Bachelor in Agronomy, Department of Agronomy, Shanxi Agricultural University, Taigu, Shanxi. Sept. 1982- July 1985: Degree of Master in Crop production and Farming System, Department of Agronomy, Northwest University of Agriculture, Yangling, Shaanxi. Sept. 1987- July 1990: Degree of Doctor in Crop production and Farming System, Department of Agronomy, Northwest University of Agriculture, Yangling, Shaanxi.
