Ph.D.Professor
Soil and water conservation
Northwest A&F University
China
Biography
Education experience: Also I spent two years working in UK, as visiting scholar and RI Fellow at Rothamsted Research in 2006 and 2008. During May to July 2014, I made a short-term visit at New Hampshire University, USA. Professional experience: I am a soil scientist and soil ecologist. I was appointed Professor of Soil Science in Department of Watershed Ecology and Management at Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, the Northwest A&F University, and became vice Director of Changwu Station (a part of CNERN, National EcosystemResearch Network of China, http://www.cnern.org/ceorn_en/web/stations/stationindex.aspx?NodeID=86)in 2011. My academic career began at the project of on-site invetigation and optimization of fertilization practices in rainfed farming system on the Loess Plateau in 1995.Dozens of international & national programs have been involved since then. I have been focused on soil C, N dynamics in soils of the Loess Plateau since 2000.My research focuses on: 1) Soil C, N changes in arable soils of rainfed farming system; 2)Organic C dynamics in eroded soils. My PhD at the Northwest A&F University investigated Changes and Simulation of Soil Organic C, N of Dry Farmland in the Loess Plateau and was supervised by Professor Jinshui Wu, who worked at UK from 1987 to 1998. I got my MsC in soil science at graduate school of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1995. I completed my BsC in soil and plant nutrition at Agricultural University of Hebei in 1992.
Research Interest
1) Soil C, N changes in arable soils of rainfed farming system; 2) Organic C dynamics in eroded soils.
