Biography
Prof. Su Yinquan, male, was born in Baishui County, Shaanxi Province on January 14th, 1954, is the professor and master supervisor of Silviculture and Wildlife Conservation and Utilization. He received his B.Sc. of Forestry Science from Department of Forestry, Northwest A&F University (NAFU) (formerly Northwestern Agricultural College) in January 1976. In the duration of 1982 to 1984, he studied abroad in a Japanese university, Iwate University, and gained a postgraduate certificate. In 1993, he gained National Excellent Teacher certificate issued jointly by National Labor & Personnel Department and State Education Administration. In 1997, he became the guest professor in Japanese university and he was awarded Shaanxi Exemplary Worker by the Shaanxi Provincial Department, in 1998, Middle-aged Prominent Specialist by the former National Forestry Department. After graduation, he has been engaged in teaching and research work. He has acted as an Assistant, a Lecturer, an Associate Professor and a Professor as well as a Tutor of Masters in NAFU (formerly Northwest Forestry College). The positions he has held in the college include Director of Foreign Affairs Department, Director of Forestry Department, President of College of Resources Science and President of Forestry College of NAFU, Director of Key Laboratory of State Forestry Administration and a member of the Academic Committee of NAFU, Deputy Director of Shaanxi Forestry Association, a member of 5th and 6th People’s Delegates Assembly of Yangling District. Prof. Su is serving as the Director of Key Laboratory of Shaanxi economical plant resources development and utilization, Director of Chinese-Japanese Eucommia Research Institute, Member of China Energy Society and Member of Japan Eucommia Research Association, etc.
