Zhang Gaisheng

Biography

Zhang Gaisheng, male, born in August, 1951 in Zhouzhi county, Shaanxi province. Professor, post doctorate. Central committee member of Democratic Union, Committee member of the People’s Consultative Conference of Shaanxi province. In 1993, graduated in crop genetic breeding field in Nanjing Agricultural University with doctoral degree of agriculture; In 1993, went to England, France and Switzerland to observe and study wheat breeding; In 1995-1997, did research work in Northwest Agricultural University for post doctoral degree. Now, professor of Northwest A&F University, doctorial tutor,director of National Yangling Agricultural bio-tech breeding centre,National Wheat Improvement Center(Yangling Branch), Wheat Breeding Engineering Research Center(Ministry of Education), Shaanxi Provincial Crop Heterosis Research & Utilization Key Laboratory; academic council member of Northwest A&F University, excutive director of China Crop Academy, director of China Heridity Resource Branch, vice chairman of Shaanxi Heredity Academy, standing director of Cell Biology Academy, standing director of Scientia Agricultura Sinica, editoral member of Acta Agronomica Sinica, chief editor of Journal of Triticeae Crops, editoral member of Journal of Northwest A&F University, researcher of China Food and Food Security Research Center(China Agricultural University), agriculture consultant of Baiji city.
