Biography
Mr. Mikkola served as President of Metal Casting Technology Inc., a subsidiary of Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc. since December 2001. Mr. Mikkola joined Hitchiner in October 1998 as Executive Vice President of Operations. Mr. Mikkola worked for 31 years at General Motors Corporation in manufacturing, as Technical Director of casting operations and as Director, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering for GM's largest division, GM Powertrain. During the time as President of Metal Casting Technology Inc, he negotiated with licensees worldwide of a number of patents and manufacturing technologies. Mr. Mikkola has received various professional honors: AFS Gold Medal in 2000, named to Foundry Management & Technology Hall of Honor in 1999, Fellow of ASM International in 1990. Mr. Mikkola holds a M.S. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
