Biography
Founder of Novogene PhD in Biology from University of Copenhagen. Former Principal Investigator at the Peking-Tsinghua Center for Life Sciences, Peking University, and former Vice President at BGI. With over a dozen years of experience and best known for developing the software SOAP (Short Oligonucleotide Analysis Package) for ultra-fast sequence mapping, variation detection, and de novo genome assembly, Dr. Li is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in genomics and bioinformatics, owning 8 patents and authoring over 70 peer-reviewed publications – 30 in Science and Nature series – that are cited over 12,000 times.
