Stuart Rose

Biography

 Dr. Stuart Rose has more than 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive direct experience in the injectables CMO space. In 2008, he  founded and served as  president and CEO of Oso Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing, a contract  manufacturing organization for injectable pharmaceuticals, that was sold in 2014 to AMRI. Prior to founding Oso Biopharmaceuticals, he held executive positions with Penick Corporation (president/CEO), ICN – now Valeant – Pharmaceuticals (vice president of Worldwide Manufacturing and vice president/general manager of ICN Europe), and Par Pharmaceuticals (senior vice president).  He spent the majority of his early career with American Cyanamid’s pharmaceutical arm, Lederle Laboratories, where he rose to vice president of International Manufacturing and Logistics. Stu is  the founder of Biophagy, LLC,  a company developing drugs that address human autophagy, and co-founder of SolaranRx, which is developing a novel theranostic to treat metastatic melanoma. Stu is a director of Agilvax, Inc.,  a start-up entity with a novel platform for the development of vaccines; director of Clean Spot Technologies, a start-up developing antimicrobial chemical compounds that attract and then kill bacteria, viruses and some fungi; and an investor/advisor in a number of other biotechnology start-ups.

Research Interest

 He also founded two business accelerators in New Mexcio, Fat Pipe ABQ  and the BioScience Center.  He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
