Biography
CHEN went to Fisheries Center, University of British Columbia, Canada for study on fishery ecological model as senior visiting scholar for half a year in 2005. He mainly takes research activities in the fields of marine fishery resources, fishery ecology, and enhancement of fishery resources and fishery information technology, etc. including survey and assessment of fishery resources, management of fishery resources, and biology of fisheries, ichthyology, and condition of fishing ground, ecology of population, ecology of community, ecology of fishery ecological system, seed production for enhancement of fishery resources and evaluation of artificial releasing, ecological rehabilitation, retrieval and processing of information on condition of fishing ground and application of GIS in fisheries, etc. He has taken charge of and taken part in more than 30 research projects concerned and he has been awarded more than 10 prizes of scientific and technological progress at levels of the state, Ministry of Agriculture, Shanghai Municipality and Ministry of Land and Resources. 3 monographs written by him has been published and more than 50 scientific papers written by him has been issued.
