Biography
Gan Zizhao, male, Han nationality, born in April 1938, Xinyi County, Guangdong Province. Incumbent Peking University professor of physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University physics department, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Ninth Standing Committee, Peking University Institute of Solid State Physics, deputy director of the Beijing Modern Physics Center, the National Superconductivity Committee of Experts First Chief Scientist, Director of Academic Committee of National Superconductivity Laboratory, Director of National Laboratory of Artificial Microstructure and Mesoscopic Physics, Editor of "Chinese Physics Letter", Member of Physics Discipline Committee of the State Council, Member of the Review Committee of Physics Foundation of the Science Foundation of China, editorial board member of "Solid State Communication", editorial board member of "Modern Physics Letter B", deputy director of Publishing Committee of Chinese Physics Society, deputy director of Academic Exchange Committee of Chinese Physics Society, executive director of Chinese Society of Materials Science director. Gan Zhaizhao graduated from the Physics Department of Peking University in October 1959. From December 1959 to January 1963, he studied for a graduate student in the Department of Physics of Peking University. After graduation, he remained in school until now. Gan Zhaizhao's research fields are solid state physics and laser physics. From 1960 to 1965, he was mainly involved in the research of semiconductor physics. Had in the semiconductor electron tunneling process, the electronic state of impurities, magnetic resonance phenomena and other aspects of theoretical research to solve the germanium in the physical mechanism of the tunnel process. From 1970 to 1978, he was mainly engaged in the research of laser physics. He had conducted experimental and theoretical studies on the development of carbon dioxide gas lasers and combustion gas dynamic lasers, and the frequency characteristics of gas lasers. The research on the development of China's large energy Gas laser to make some contribution. From 1978 to 1982, he mainly studied the interaction between light and matter. He proposed the physical model of photodissociation of polyatomic molecules and the theory of coherent propagation of light in semiconductors. From 1982 to 1986, he was mainly engaged in the study of solid state electron. He conducted theoretical studies on quantum self-ionization quantum Hall effect in semiconductors, insulator-metal phase transition, magnetic polaron in magnetic semiconductors, and electron transport in low-dimensional systems the study. Since 1986, he has been involved in the experimental and theoretical studies of high-temperature superconductivity. He has presided over the research work of high-temperature superconductivity and the national superconducting research project at Peking University and made important contributions to the development of HTS research in our country. Key Laboratory of "artificial microstructure physics laboratory" work, in international and domestic academic journals published more than 30 papers. Gan Zazhao's academic work is devoted to the frontier research of condensed matter physics and optical physics, and always tries to combine theoretical research with experimental research.
