(1)       Molecular design and preparation of blue phase liquid crystal display materials and materials for TFT-LCD; (2)       Regulation of molecular structures, microstructures and optical performance of cholesteric liquid crystal materials; (3)       Molecular design and preparation of liquid crystalline laser materials; (4)       Molecular design and preparation of liquid crystalline laser protective films; (5)       Molecular design and preparation of liquid crystalline multistage anti-counterfeiting coating; (6)     Molecular design and preparation of liquid crystalline brightness enhancement films and diffuser sheets; (7)     Modulation of the molecular structures, microstructures and thermal-optical properties of thermally controllable light transmittance adjustable films; (8)     Modulation of the molecular structures, microstructures and electrical-optical properties of electrically controllable light transmittance adjustable films (normal, reverse, and bistable modes); (9)     Pilot-scale preparation techniques of thermally controllable light transmittance adjustable films, thermochromism films, electrically controllable light transmittance adjustable films, laser protective films, anti-counterfeiting coating, brightness enhancement films, and diffuser sheets, etc.
