Biography
"Dr. Stephan Dax graduated from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. While pursuing his medical degree, he studied Sinology, Japanology, and German in Frankfurt, Beijing, Guangzhou and Taipei. Dr. Dax completed his residency training in Psychiatry and fellowships in Geriatric and Forensic Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and the State University of New York (SUNY) in New York City. He worked as a forensic psychiatrist for the city of New York with an academic appointment at clinical assistant professor level to SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. In 2004, he returned to the European Union and in private practice contracted with health care organizations working in the United Kingdom and Germany. Dr. Dax has over 20 years of clinical experience. He is triple-board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General, Geriatric and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Dax is on the Specialist Register maintained by the General Medical Council in London in Adult and Old Age Psychiatry and is Facharzt für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie in Germany. In 2013, Dr. Dax became a Diplomate in Logotherapy of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy, and is experienced in a wide range of other psychotherapeutic modalities. He is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of numerous other professional organizations in the United States and in Germany."
