Biography
Dr. Gardner is a computational cellular and molecular biologist developing software solutions for systems biology analysis and modeling based on Bayesian machine learning principals. His initial training was in computer science and mathematics, but completed his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Dr. Gardner has specialized in computational biology focusing on the comparative analysis of RNA sequences. He has extensive training and experience in applying statistics to solve biological problems with a focus on dynamic Bayesian networks. He has worked for over ten years in the IT industry. He earned his Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2012, and a M.S. in Computational and Applied Mathematics in 2002, both from the University of Texas, Austin, TX.
