Biography
CHEN Jiangye, Professor, Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 320 Yue-yang Road, Shanghai 200031, China. Research Areas: Candida albicans; morphogenesis; hyphal development & virulence; white-opaque switching; gene regulation, NuA4 complex, Swi/Snf complex; Wor1; Flo8; MAPK; cAMP/PKA Research Interests: C. albicans is one of the most frequently isolated opportunistic fungal pathogens in human. Our research interests have been: (1) functional study of genes involved in morphological transition of C. albicans, (2) transcription factors and chromatin remodeling complex for hyphal development and virulence in C. albicans, (3) signaling pathways in morphogenesis and pathogenesis of C. albicans, (4) the fine regulatory network in C. albicans morphogenesis and pathogenesis responding to different environmental cues and (5) study of the interactions between C. albicans and human host cells.
