Biography
HE Yongning is a Professor Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China.
Research Interest
Our laboratory is interested in the structures of cell surface receptors and receptor-ligand interactions. We are combining various molecular and structural techniques, including three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction by electron microscopy (single particle reconstruction, tomography, etc.), X-ray crystallography and small angle X-ray scattering, to determine 3D structures of cell surface molecules and the corresponding complexes involved in immunological recognition, antibody transport, cell adhesion and viral cell entry.
