Biography
Yixue Li, Research fellow, Ph.D. supervisor , director of the Shanghai Society for Bioinformatics, head of Specialist Group in the bioinformatics technology of biological and agricultural technology field for 863 Program during the 10th Five-Year Plan, specialist in the biological and pharmaceutical technology field for 863 Program during the 11thFive-Year Plan. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany, in October 1996. After Dr. Li got his Ph.D. degree he worked as a bioinformatics research staff in European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) from April 1997 to June 2000, and he came back to Shanghai, China in July 2000. In July 2000, he served as the deputy director of the bioinformation center, SIBS , CAS and in 2002 served as the director. Since July 2002 he hold a concurrent post as the director of Shanghai Center for Bioinformation Technology, and since 2007 he hold a concurrent post as the director of the Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics of Shanghai Jiaotong University. In January 2007, he served as the vice director of Key Laboratory of Systems Biology, SIBS, CAS. In January 2015, he served as the research group leader of the Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, SIBS, CAS. Currently he is the director of the Bio-Med Big Data Center of PICB, SIBS , CAS.
Research Interest
1.Bioinformatics and Systems Biology. Genome structure analysis, gene regulatory network analysis, proteomics and protein interaction analysis, complex system modeling and simulation of dynamic properties, omics data integration, equilibrium fluctuation of biological systems, critical phenomena and its relationship with biological functions. 2.Cancer genomics. Using the bioinformatics and computational biology methods to study molecular subtypes of cancers, cancer heterogeneity, evolution of cancer genomes, prediction models of drug sensitivity, biomarkers of cancer metastasis, recurrence and prognosis; to provide clues for the precise treatment of cancers. 3.Biomedical database construction and data analysis algorithms. Biomedical knowledge discovery, data mining and database construction, building big data analysis pipelines, algorithms and tools for specific scientific problems. 4.Disease animal model genomics. Using the methods of comparative genomics, population genetics and functional genomics, to study and analyze the genetic and regulatory mechanisms of specific animal models. 5.Precision medicine. Integration of advanced experiment technology systems for big data generation and data analysis systems, performing molecular classification of major diseases based on biomedical big data, establishing precision analysis and consultation systems for clinical treatments.
