Biography
LIU Mofang is a Professor of Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, hanghai, China. Research Interests: The major research interests in Liu’s group are the roles and mechanisms of noncoding RNAs. The group is focusing on the studies of two important types of small noncoding RNAs, PIWI-interacting RNAs (piRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs). The goal of ongoing projects in the laboratory is to gain new insights into the function and mechanism of PIWI/piRNAs in mammal spermatogenesis and human male infertility as well as the function and mechanism of miRNAs in human cancers, especially in inflammation-associated tumorigenesis and cancer cell metabolism.
