Liu Jingao

Biography

Liu Jingao, dean of College of Information Technology, was born in February 1948. And he is a professor entitled to Shanghai Expert of Science and Technology Special Allowance. Professor Liu majored in radio physics, graduated from East China Normal University(ECNU) in 1982. Visiting scholar of Department of Electronic Engineering in Melbourne Latrobe university in 1990. Dean of Electronic Science and Technology Department in 1996 and vice dean of College of Information in 2004 in ECNU. Vice director of Microwave Remote Sensing of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. Member of the Shanghai Institute of Electronics. In recent years, professor Liu has hosted 863 national projects, over 10 Shanghai science and technology projects. And published more than 100 scientific papers, obtain authorization of 4 national invention patents and one national computer software copyright. Gained Zeng Xianzi Award and Science and Technology Progress Award presented by the Ministry of Education, and Shanghai Municipal Award for Bringing up Talents. As a Ph.D. advisor, he has cultivated 2 doctors from foreign countries, 9 science and technology doctors and 40 master of engineering. He guided his students won the first prize in the National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest 3 times, the first prize in National Embedded System (ARM) Competition for twice, and the first prize in Shanghai Embedded System Competition twice.
