Biography
LIU, Lei (1966-),Professor, Ph.D. of Cell biology from University of Connecticut. Dr. Liu currently serves as a PI of Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Fudan University and Deputy Director of Shanghai Center for Bioinformation Technology. Prior to that, he was the Director of Bioinformatics lab at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Liu’s research focuses on biomedical informatics, analysis of omics data, construction and analysis of biological network, system modeling, integration and mining of medical data, clinical decision support and personalized medicine. His featured accomplishments are as follows: He has been funded by six projects of “863”Natioinal High Technology Projects and National Science and Technology Major Projects in the total amount of more than 20 million RMB,and published more than 60 articles in international peer-reviewed journals such as Nucleic Acid Research, PLoS Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, etc., and develop a series of medical software systems, obtained over 20 software copyrights and 6 patents.
