Biography
Dr. Cheng Wang received the M. S. in Physical Electronics from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2011, and the Ph. D. in Optoelectronics-Physics from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes, France in 2015. During the Ph. D., he has researched with Télécom ParisTech, France for 18 months, with Technische Universität Berlin, Germany for 3 months, and with Politecnico di Torino, Italy for 3 months, respectively. He was a Senior Research Assistant at the City University of Hong Kong from 2015 to 2016. He joined the School of Information Science and Technology at ShanghaiTech University as an assistant professor, PI in April, 2016. He has published more than 20 journal articles, over 20 conference papers, and one book chapter.
Research Interest
Dr. Cheng Wang’s research interests include dynamics and nonlinear dynamics of advanced nanostructured semiconductor lasers and quantum cascade lasers, for telecommunication applications in fiber-optic systems and radio-over-fiber networks.
