Biography
Luis is an IMA Associate Fellow in Interactive Media Arts at NYU Shanghai. He is a recent graduate from NYU Abu Dhabi, where he studied interactive media, media theory, and creative writing. Luis’s research happens at the intersection of literature and technology through the study computational literature and the recreation of speculative proto-digital literary objects. He is also interested in the relationship between creative writing and coding. In his works he brings networked physical computing, web applications, generative games, and language processing devices in conversation with media and literary studies. Luis previously interned as assistant curator of The Human Rights Channel on YouTube, currently Google News Lab’s Witness Media Lab.
