Biography
Ping Yu received her B.S. degree From Nankai University in 2004 and Ph.D. degree in physics from Fudan University in 2009. From 2009 to 2015, She worked as a postdoc in the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics and university of Regensburg in Germany. In February 2016, she joined the School of Physical Science and Technology of ShanghaiTech University as a tenure-track assistant professorã€PI.
Research Interest
Our research focuses on the characterization of the bonding configuration and the electronic properties of single molecule, self-assembled molecular nano-structures by using low-temperature combined scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) . We have a particular interest in fabrication of well-defined nano-structures, manipulating its electronic properties by electrical field and photons, as well as the ultrafast dynamic process on nano-structure
