Biography
Xu Chuang is an associate professor of computer. He obtained a bachelor degree of mathematics from South China Normal University, and went for further education as a computer major in Zhongshan Uiversity. His major research interests covers Arts of Programming, Software Engineering and Database. He teaches courses including: Fundamentals of Programming, C Programming, Pascal Programming, Visual Basic Programming, Visual FoxPro Programming, Data Structures, Fundamentals of Software Technology, Design & Analysis of Algorithmics, Fundamentals of Computer Application, etc. He published more then 10 papers, such as An Executable Specification Language——ChiSL, Specification Language ChiSL and its Application, A Tool of Rapid Prototyping, An Outlook of Software Engineering in the Next Century, A Teaching Reform Experiment of Online Aided Teaching of C Programming, A Teaching Reform Experiment of C Programming after the Deduction of Class Hours, etc. He received the award on the best teaching effect and the first prize of teaching achievement of Shantou University in 2003. He won the title of outstanding teacher in national education reform from China Education Reform Research Association in 2010. He participated in the projects of Natural Science Foundation of China and Guangdong. He also chaired a project 151 of Guangdong College Board (A Teaching Reform Experiment of Algorithmics Design Based on Network) and 3 projects of teaching reform in Shantou University. He participated in writing 4 computer course books published by nation-level publishers.
