Biography
Yan Jia, male, born in October 1956 in Chongqing. Sichuan University School of literature and journalism professor, doctorate, doctoral tutor. Mainly engaged in literary aesthetics, Western literary theory, cultural criticism, comparative literature research, long engaged in English academic monographs and literature translation work. In recent years, the main research direction for the Western literary theory of modernism and postmodernism, as well as Western new Marxist literary theory. In 1982 January graduated from the Southwest Normal University Department of Chinese, received a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1985 June graduated from the Sichuan University Department of Chinese aesthetics, received a master's degree in literature, the same year to teach so far. In June 2001 graduated from the Sichuan University Department of Chinese literature and art, received a doctorate in literature. From September 1999 to January 2001, he was a visiting scholar at the Harvard Center for Art History and East Asia. From February to July 2006, he was a visiting professor at the Department of Visual Arts, Department of Literature, Nanhua University, Taiwan, and lectured in Taiwan. Now he is a Distinguished Professor of Fine Arts College of Sichuan Normal University and a visiting professor of the Faculty of Arts of West China Normal University.
