Biography
Mr. Chen Qiyu serves as Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd., with effect from 22 September 2014. He joined the Company on 16 January 2003, and had served as the chief Supervisor until 31 May 2010. He has served as a non-executive Director since 31 May 2010 and has been the vice Chairman since November 2013. He has over 22 years of working experience. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in genetics from Fudan University in July 1993 and a master’s degree of business administration from China Europe International Business School in September 2005. Mr. Chen was previously the chief financial officer, the board secretary, general manager, president and vice chairman of the board of directors of Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Group) Co., Ltd. from July 1998 to May 2010, and has been its director and chairman since May 2005 and June 2010, respectively. He has served as the vice president of each of Fosun International Limited and Shanghai Fosun High Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. since August 2010 and January 2011, respectively.
