Biography
Since July 1991, Dr. Xia has been working at the Ecological Centre of South China Botanical Garden; he was promoted to assistant professorship in 1994, and to associate professorship in 1997, and to professorship in 2002. The chief research fields are restoration ecology, phytoremediation for heavy metals, grassland ecology, and ecological engineering. So far, he has published more than 150 papers, of which over 30 were published by SCI journals. His achievements about Vetiver Grass Technique ever gained 7 international prizes, including the King of Thailand Vetiver Award, and the Prize of Vetiver Campion.
