Biography
Dr. Lei Yang is currently an associate professor at School of Software, South China University of Technology (SCUT). Before he joined SCUT in March, 2016, he has been working as a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he obtained the PhD degree in computer science on May, 2014. His research interest is mobile cloud computing, big data analysis, and Internet of Things. In recent five years, he has published over 20 papers in major international journals and conference proceedings including top journals like TMC, TC, TPDS, TCC, and top conferences like INFOCOM, PERCOM. He is directing several research and development projects from both government and industry agencies such National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Tencent. Dr. Yang got M.S. degree in computer science from Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010, and B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Wuhan University in 2007. He has been in Deeds Lab at Technische Universitat Darmstadt, Germany, as a visiting scholar from Nov.2012 to Mar.2013.
