Biography
Liu Ye (born on Sep. 16, 1956) got the PhD. Degree in Southeast University. She is an associate professor of Urban Planning and Design, Department of Architecture, SCUT since 1995. Her research mainly focuses on: modern Chinese city and architecture, modern architecture in South China and landscape architecture. She was the Executive Deputy Director of the Department of Architecture, SCUT between 1992 and 1995. She is devoted to some research work concerning Chinese modern architecture history, architecture and climate in semi-tropics, architecture and history in Southeast Asia, as well as modern architecture in South China. She is the supervisor of graduate students in landscape since 1994. The main courses that Prof. Liu has been teaching are: *the Planning and Design of Semi-tropical Landscape* & *Southeast Asia Architecture* for graduate students and *Urban Economics* for undergraduate students.
