Biography
Guixin Li, associate professor, “Recruitment Program of Global Experts (Young Scholar Program)” recipient of China. He joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology as an associate professor in 2016. He received Ph. D degree in Physics from the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2009. From 2009 to 2016, he worked in Hong Kong Baptist University, Imperial College London, University of Birmingham UK and University of Paderborn, Germany. His research interests include Metamaterials, Metasurface, nanophotonics, and nonlinear optics. He has published around 40 peer-review papers in high impact journals such as Nature Physics, Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communications, Physical Review Letters and so on. He also commits serious efforts to transfer his research achievements to industrial partners. From this perspective, he has applied for three US patents to protect the inventions related to flexible metamaterials and organic semiconductor nanolaser.
