Biography
Professor Cheng Xin graduated from the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, University of Science and Technology of China in 1997. He received a master's degree in geochemistry from Stanford University in 1999 and a doctorate in electrical engineering from The University of Michigan in 2005. Postdoctoral research was conducted at Purdue University in February-December 2005. January 2006 - August 2012 Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Texas A & M University, and Prof. Associate Professor from September to December 2012. From January 2013 onwards, in the Southern University of Science and Technology full-time work, as the Department of Materials Science and Engineering Professor and head of the Department, part-time Nanjing Science and Technology Analysis Center. Engaged in semiconductor materials, devices and micro-nano processing direction of teaching and research work. Research areas include semiconductor lithography, nano-fabrication, nano-optics, organic semiconductor materials and devices, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and advanced digital bio-chip. January 2011 by the National Science Foundation Professional Award (NSF CAREER Award). In June the same year by the US Department of Defense Advanced Research Program Youth Scholars Award (DARPA Young Faculty Award). In August 2012, the Central Organization Department of the eighth batch of thousands of people plan (young people project). 2013 was selected in Shenzhen Peacock Plan B, in 2014 by the Shenzhen Municipal Government special allowance.
Research Interest
Ultra-high-precision micro-nano manufacturing technology and related semiconductor equipment development (nanoimprint, lithography technology, etc.), new semiconductor materials and functional materials (organic semiconductors, semiconductor nanomaterials, etc.), thin film transistors (high carrier mobility Materials, new thin film transistor device construction, etc.), micro-nano electromechanical sensors, integrated macro electronic system (large area active or passive matrix integrated system)
